Our Story

Unity Park in Greenville, South Carolina, stands as a testament to the city's commitment to equity and community revitalization. Officially opened in May 2022, the 60-acre park occupies land that once bore the scars of segregation, having previously housed separate recreational spaces for black and white residents—Mayberry Park and Meadowbrook Park, respectively. Over the decades, this area suffered from neglect and environmental degradation. The transformation into Unity Park symbolizes a healing process, aiming to bridge historical divides and foster inclusivity.

Adjacent to this space is the Art House at Unity Park, an Airbnb property that doubles as a gallery for local artists. Situated within a federally designated Opportunity Zone, the house reflects both the aesthetic and mission of the park. The property's design, inspired by the Reedy River, serves as a metaphor for unity and connection. This space is home to Earlewood Art, LLC, whose mission is to promote modern fine art from emerging and renowned artists alike. The gallery operates as a “living gallery,” integrating artwork into everyday environments while offering it for purchase online. In line with the values of Unity Park, Earlewood Art also supports philanthropic and development efforts that uplift surrounding communities and elevate the arts both locally and nationally.
