Christian Bergeron

Originally from the Charlevoix region, he is well known for his colorful and expressive landscapes, working primarily with a spatula. Although he has been painting for more than 45 years, his art continues to evolve. He fiercely protects his personal freedom and creativity, allowing no outside influence to shape his style. This independent spirit transcends his work and can be felt in his paintings, which are distinguished by a vigorous touch, spontaneity, and a sensitive yet wild personality. About ten years ago, he began exploring a new visual language characterized by image splits—referred to as the "prismatics." This technique introduces fractured lines within the landscape, enhancing both the vivid colors and soft shadowing to create depth and a distinctive visual effect. Today, these freestyle artworks are sold and appreciated around the world. Clearly, continued success will follow him in whatever artistic direction he chooses to pursue.
